The US tariff imposed on Pakistan is not on a solid economic basis, the Foreign Ministry

Foreign Ministry officials have told the National Assembly Standing Committee that tariffs imposed by the United States is not on solid economic grounds, without the UK and the US passport holder of Pakistanis, visas for a one -year stay in Saudi Arabia have been temporarily suspended.

According to Express News, a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs was chaired by Hina Rabbani Khar, in which Foreign Secretary Amana Baloch gave a briefing. He said that consular services are being reviewed according to the needs of Overseas Pakistanis, several consular services have been transferred online through the Ministry of Interior or NADRA. Visa, passport, Naikop and POC services are no longer available in missions.

He said that Overseas Pakistanis are now approaching for limited services in embassies, postal certification facility has been introduced for 126 countries, Foreign Ministry certified documents are now usable without the need for re -verification.

He said that the transfer of proprietary buildings from diplomatic missions rental buildings is underway. In the first area, the construction of residences is being considered at the place where the land is owned.

Chairperson Committee Hina Rabbani Khar said, “We are recommending that you build or get through the embassy and consulate fares. You have to plan wisdom to plan the first five, then move forward slowly.”

Foreign Ministry officials said that the first UK and US passport holders Pakistanis had the facility to stay in Saudi Arabia for a year without a visa. The facility has been suspended because people used to do over -the -stains, after Hajj, the facility will be re -executed, the tariffs that the United States has imposed on the Ministry of Trade is not a concrete economic rules.

The Foreign Ministry said that a telephonic call between Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and the US Secretary of State was made in a pleasant atmosphere, a telephonic call discussed the economy, counter -terrorism and US weapons in Afghanistan.

Officials said that the US had indicated 29 % tariffs, the tariff was temporarily abolished by the US government for 90 days.
