The development of the agricultural sector is of utmost importance for the development of Pakistan, the agricultural revolution can be re -established if the best seeds, fertilizers and real agricultural medicines are provided at a reasonable price. These views were expressed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif while inaugurating a modern aero -panux method at the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).
There is no doubt that being an agricultural country, agriculture is the backbone of the Pakistani economy and the development of the agricultural economy can make the country economically strong and self -sufficient. Our country used to earn huge foreign exchange from exports of agricultural sector, today we are spending billions of dollars worth of foreign exchange to meet our nutritional needs.
The graph of agricultural production is moving down, our area under cultivation is also decreasing and also agricultural production per acre. The costs per acre of our farmers are very high while their per acre income is very low, with our main pillar of agriculture “farmer” suffering. Governments do nothing to solve their problems and develop agriculture, but “the sweet pill of a farmer package” is falling asleep “self -sleeping sleep”.
Can the government and government agricultural experts say how many new types of different crops and vegetables have been discovered during the last ten to fifteen years and their seeds whose productivity is high and they have a tremendous immunity against diseases. What steps were taken to provide our farmers with pure and mixed seeds, fertilizers, agricultural medicines, diesel and agricultural machinery?
In the Pakistani economy, agriculture is called the backbone. There is a huge canal system in the world in Pakistan, but small farmers are still trapped in problems.
When this small farmer cultivates his crop for a while and non -standard seeds and fertilizers, its production is also reduced. Then, when they take their production to the palm where they have taken the fertilizer seeds on the loan, it raises their own prices and first borrows. Then he does not pay the outstanding money at the same time, but he plays a little in installments. In this way, due to the lack of timely money for the small farmer, buying expensive items and selling production at a low cost has to suffer good economic loss.
These farmers make it impossible to access agricultural loans as it is difficult to meet the rules and regulations of the bank. The problem with these farmers is that they do not know the modern agricultural requirements and they are focused on the old and traditional methods. They are engaged in traditional crops and do not know how to grow profitable crops in low land. They are unfamiliar with modern technology. They do not know what fertilizer their land needs and what quantity they need.
What is the quality of water, the earth is uneven. In this way, they use indiscriminate water and fertilizers, which causes harm rather than benefit. The markets are unaware of the situation. The social structure of small farmers is irregular. Not every farmer was in his individual race and is not aware of the usefulness of the gathering. All these problems and the problems associated with them make a rotation in which small farmers have been linked to their entire life. The world is currently coming towards organic crops and food and how many crops that can only be obtained from the seeds.
We may face challenges like “food security” in the near future. What a pity that we did not integrate our agriculture with modern requirements on time, modern technology, modern research, and the manufacture of certified seeds that are more productive against the diseases, pure and blended fertilizers and agricultural drugs are the most important of these and the most important of these issues. Due to the problems, farming has now become a “deal with the loss” for the farmer, which has led to all our golden dreams of agricultural self -sufficiency and agricultural revolution.
On the other hand, “faction” residential schemes are being created without any planning on our fertile agricultural land. For this reason, our agriculture is on the verge of complete destruction, but sadly no government has paid any attention to this important issue. Even the public representatives who are elected from rural areas to the “houses of power” are constantly silent on the brutal raids of the housing sector on agricultural land, while municipal and development agencies are just destroying fertile agricultural land to pay their fees. Everyone knows that the Department of Agriculture is considered one of the major departments of the country because of its vast network, but the recent destruction of the agricultural sector is clear evidence of its exemplary performance.
Poverty and unemployment are increasing in rural areas due to the recent crisis in our agriculture. The prices of agricultural interventions are also touching the sky due to the constant rise in prices of diesel, petrol, electricity by the government, which has made our farmer worse. Its per acre production cost has increased dramatically, which is why he is forced to leave him empty instead of farming on his land.
Unless the government resolves agriculture and farmer issues on a priority basis, this agricultural crisis can never be avoided. Due to poor plans, we have been suffering from the food crisis many times. To deal with this, we had to export wheat on various vegetables and sugar, but we still did not learn any lesson, otherwise our villages and farmers would not have this condition. Our rulers and its policy makers should play their way that every way for the development of Pakistan goes through agriculture.
Now the question arises as to how do we get our agriculture out of the crisis? To achieve this goal, the government will have to take immediate emergency steps. Agriculture and farmer’s problems have to be solved and given maximum facilities. In order to increase the local production of vegetables, fruits and flowers, the useless area has to be cultivated. Imports of agriculture, especially vegetables and fruits, should be banned so as to use foreign exchange, country agricultural production, we are importing onions, garlic, pepper turmeric ginger, tomatoes and many other vegetables, though our land is not cultivated and cultivated.
All agricultural experts agree that the nutritional commodity vegetables and fruits born in Pakistan are ranked first in the world because of their nutritional taste and aroma, but our negligence with agriculture has made us agricultural production from the country that exports agricultural production, and it is our agricultural, agricultural, agricultural and agricultural scientists.
