The United Arab Emirates Central Bank (CBUAE) has issued a new currency note of 100 dirhams based on modern security features.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the United Arab Emirates has issued a new 100 dirhams currency note based on modern security features, which is made from polymer content and is adorned with the latest design and security features.

The report said that the move is aimed at promoting sustainability and taking another step towards the modern financial system, a new note is part of the third issuance of national currency, which highlights the development of the United Arab Emirates, cultural heritage and its achievements as a global economic hub.

The latest UAE notes have been developed in various red shades of red so that the public can easily recognize it with the current note, which includes sketches and writings made from the UAE’s national brand and modern printing technology.

In front of the note, the historic fortress of Umm al -Qayyin is shown that represents the country’s cultural heritage, on the previous side there are photographs of Fajira Port and Alliance Rail, which is a reflection of the modern infrastructure and economic development of the United Arab Emirates.

The new note uses the latest technology such as ‘Spark Flow Direction’ and ‘Kine Gram Color’ so that fake notes can be prevented, adding Braille symptoms on the note so that the visually impaired can easily identify it.

This note -made note can be twice as longer than the paper note, which makes them environmentally friendly and less expensive.

According to the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, the new note has been circulating from March 24, 2025 and is legalized with the current 100 dirhams note.

Banks and exchange houses have been instructed to update their ATM machines and note -counting machines so that a new note can be easily accepted.

The United Arab Emirates Central Bank Governor Khalid Mohammad Balama said on the occasion that the new note reflects the sustainable development and financial competition of the UAE.

He said that its design is paid tribute to our historical values ​​as well as representing our aspirations for future development.
