Indian singer Sonongam’s concert became the battlefield, stones and bottles were rained

Indian singer Sonu Nigam’s concert was disrupted at the annual festival ‘NG Fest 2025’ held at Delhi Technological University.

According to Indian media reports, the annual festival on Sunday night suddenly broke out, some of the audience started throwing stones and bottles towards the stage. The incident caused Sonu Nigam to stop his performances, and some members of the team were injured as a result of the uproar of some of the crowds of more than one million students.

On this occasion, Sonu Nigam appealed to the audience to maintain law and order and said, “I have come here for you so that we can all have a good time. I am not saying that you do not enjoy but please do not do it.”

Interestingly, in the meantime someone threw a punk band on the stage, which Sonu Nigam wore. After that, the audience started chanting slogans of ‘Poki Poki’.

After the incident, a student expressed his disappointment, “It was so shameful that because of only a few ugly students, a legend had to stop their performances and request politeness from the audience.” Another student praised Sonu Nigam’s patience and said, “Even at that moment, he remained calm and dignified. He did not raise his voice once.”

It should be noted that after the riot, Sonu Nigam resumed his performance as his promise. This is not the first time Sonu Nigam has suffered misconduct and mismanagement during the concert, even during a concert in Kolkata last month, the crowd was uncontrollable.
