Iftar dinner arranges for orphans in the presidency, distribution of computers and tablets

Islamabad:

President Asif Ali Zardari arranged an Iftar dinner in the Presidency in honor of orphans under the Pakistan Arfan Care Forum. Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the inclusion of orphans in the blessed hours and happiness of Ramadan is part of our social and moral values.

According to a symbol issued by the President, during the Iftar dinner, the President told the children to pay special attention to their education, work hard so that they can achieve a successful and better future. “Children are our future and you are all dear to me as your children,” he added.

The President also distributed computers and tablets as a gift to orphans. He said that the move was taken on the advice of the first lady Asifa Bhutto Zardari so that children could utilize modern technology and improve their educational activities.

The President urged all the children to use these computer tablets to study and learn. In this event, the President met with orphans, expressed their compassion and encouraged them.

Air Marshal (R) Farooq Habib, Chairman of Pakistan Arfan Care Forum, also addressed the occasion. He said that there are an estimated 46 million orphans in Pakistan and Pakistan is supporting the Arfan Care Forum and its affiliated institutions across the country.

Farooq Habib said that the forum is constantly raising voice for the rights of orphans in the country and is taking steps for their welfare. He thanked President Asif Ali Zardari for hosting and encouraging orphans in the Presidency on the occasion.
