The United States has banned three Iranian intelligence officers, who were allegedly involved in the disappearance of FBI special agent Robert Levinson.

He said that the finance department would work together with the government’s partners to identify the aforementioned persons and inform them of their role.
The US Treasury said that the three victims of the sanctions have played a role in the abduction, detention and alleged death of Levison.
According to the report, Levinson was working as a private investigator and disappeared during a visit to the Iranian -controlled island in March 2007, where he was going to collect information when former Iranian President Akbar Hashmi Rafsani was allegedly involved in corruption.
