Islamabad:
The National Economic Council (ECK) has approved important projects of transport, communication, railway, space technology and public infrastructure.
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, was held, attended by federal secretaries, provincial ministers and other top officials.
At the Eknik meeting, the committee approved a number of projects, including 13 development projects worth Rs 1,275.714 billion of transport, communication, railway, space technology and public infrastructure.
The meeting considered the economic development and poverty alleviation project in Gilgit -Baltistan, restoration of flood -affected infrastructure in Sindh.
The meeting chaired by Ishaq Dar also approved the purchase of high -capable veggies and passenger coaches for the Pakistan Railways, Pakistan’s optical remote sensing satellite project and several major highways projects were also approved at the Ekk meeting.
On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to sustainable development, inter -provincial relations and the improvement of the economy.
