Nowshera; Firing on a vehicle near Rashkai Interchange, civil judge and lawyer killed

Nowshera:

Unidentified persons opened fire on a vehicle near Rashkai Interchange in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing two people, identified as civil judge Admin Mardan Hayat and Khalid Khan Advocate.

Police said that civil judge Admin Mardan Hayat and Khalid Khan Advocate were killed in firing on a vehicle near Rashkai Interchange in Nowshera and both were relatives.

Nowshera police said that the deceased Khalid Khan was the brother of the civil judge who was killed.

Police said the shooting was allegedly caused by a property dispute, and Rescue 1122 said the bodies of the victims were shifted from Rashkai to Nowshera Medical Complex.

Further investigation has been launched by registering a case of shooting and killing of two persons, police said.

IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed has taken notice of the assassination attacks on senior civil judge Hayat Khan, lawyer Khalid Khan and former district Nazim Kohat and DIG Malik Saad Shaheed’s brother Malik Asad on the motorway.

The IGKP has sought reports of the incidents from Regional Police Officer Mardan and Kohat and have issued orders for immediate arrest of the accused involved in the tragic incidents.

He directed that the accused be arrested soon after collecting all the evidence from the scene and conducting a comprehensive investigation from every aspect.

According to Kohat police, former district Nazim Malik Asad Khan was shot dead in Kohat and his driver was injured. The deceased Malik Asad Khan was the brother of former Additional IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Malik Saad Shaheed.

Police said that Malik Asad Khan was shot dead near Azim Bagh Kohat on Pindi Road.
